Simple Determination of the Foramen Monro on the Plain Skull Film during Stereotaxic Surgery

Abstract

|
There are many methods for F. Monro to determine with plain skull series.
It is very important procedure that F. Monro is predetermined before destruction of subcortical area during stereotaxic surgery. Using reference to triple point, bregma, nasion and torcula, in 25 cases of stereotaxic surgery we have done simple determination of the F. Monro on the plain skull film during stereotaxic surgery. Mailn principle of our method composed of three triangle centered at F. Monro among bregma, nasion and torcula. This is very simple and adequate to measurement of F. Monro. According to this presumed point, we can calculate exact F. Monro and exact surgical procedure.
